2002 Avensis D4D Water Leak

I have just noticed a rainwater leak into my 2002 Avensis which is soaking the headlining immediately just above the drivers side pillar. I would suspect possibly a faulty windscreen seal at the top corner but cant see anything obvious. Another possibility would be the roof rail joint with the roof but I cant see how to get the plastic trim off at the end of the rail to inspect it. Has anyone got any ideas or experienced this problem? Also does anyone know if this pillar contains an airbag? Any help would be welcome.
