Evening all:

Was wondering were I could locate a new / 2nd hand fuel filler pipe for my ill girl...She has decided to vomit fuel when filling up, hole in the pipe is the cause.

R reg, 2.0ltr.

Any advice would be grateful as Iv'e looked every where.

America is the only place I can find but they wont ship to the uk.

Thanks In Advance

Bothy is the font of knowledge on this one. It's a known problem and I believe it can possibly be fixed with some standard fuel pipe.

BOTHY, YOU OUT THERE?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Its the metal pipe that goes from the filler cap to the tank.

I doubt normal pipe would do it.

I have found out that the problem is a common fault as the crap of our roads gets stuck behind the pipe and body and rots the poor bugger. I would just use normal rubber water pipe of the rad but it has took the securing clamp with it.

£20 added = £10 across the forcourt floor :-(

you can use either normal copper pipe/tube from similar system subject: near the same inner / outer dia + same connection -- but connection piece is subject to be re-soldered ---- this is suitable for suction line
