Took my Yaris in today for the recall, the switch worked fine so just needed checking/lubricating, only took 45 minutes from the time I handed them my keys to the time they handed them back. They even washed the car. Excellent service.

Ours is booked in for a couple of weeks time when it's due a service anyway. I asked if they'd have the parts then and he said there were none required, it was just a lubrication job.

Which is odd as they haven't had the car since the last service (nearly a year), so can't know if the switch is notchy and therefore needs replacing.

99% of switches do NOT need replacing, just lubricating. We have not come across any needing replacement and we have done plenty so far
