Hi, Ive a 56 reg, 28000 miles Avensis 1.8vvti petrol. It crunches when gearing down only into 2nd gear. Is this heard of at such relatively low miles?? any thoughts?? Is this a common problem?? Cheers

yes, the Avensis gearbox is known to be graunchy in 1st/2nd especially when cold.
