Hi,

I am looking for a RAV4, and am hoping for some help in choosing which one would be best.

Is it best to get a 2005/6 with lower mileage, or a newer one with higher mileage. I have done lots of research into which car would suit me best, and the RAV4 is the one, but I have no experience of them at all. So, I am hoping that someone reading this will have.

I was told by a Toyota salesman that the newer model do have problems with the head gasket. Is this true or was he just trying to frighten me into buying from a Toyota dealer?

Any comments would be appreciated. I am hopefully buying one over the weekend. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the club. Try posting your question on the Rav forum on here for best result.

Mind you things tend to be a bit. quieter on weekends so be patient. Good luck.
