Bibsta 0
I have 2008 model Avensis 2.2 diesel TR hatchback and the drivers side wiper blade (the longer one) has rain sensors riveted onto the arm - I want to replace the Wiper Blades but cannot find anything that suits. Do I need to change the rubber part on the metal arm. The shorter blade doesn't have sensors. Any hints or tips would help! John

JohnI don't think there are any sensors on the arm as they are usually in the windscreen but if you are still worried then pop along to your local Toyota dealers, I believe if you buy the wiperblade refills they will fit them for free as part of their price promise. They are also better than most aftermarket ones that may be cheaper.RegardsPete.
Bibsta 0
Thanks Pete,Sorry for appearing a bit dim - I realise now that the fritting at the top of the windscreen around the rear view mirror is the rain sensor. The blades that were on the car had a spoiler and what look like a sensor wasn't anything to do with that. Got some Bosch blades fitted at Kwik Fit for £17 with fitting - almost identical to the ones on my car.Anyway, all is well now and please forgive my ignorance. Good job I'm in the Toyota Owners Club eh, with friendly advice from people like you?Regards, John
