2006 Corolla Verso Hazard Light Switch Illuminated?

I have a 2006 T3 2.2 Corolla Verso, when the lights are on and interior illuminated should the pasenger airbag warning and alarm and hazard light switch be lit up? As when you look at the car it seems somewhat unbalanced and very strange. Ie all lit up with the stero/cd player and climate below I have a yaris on 2008 and the switch does light up

I've tried this forum and google but I'm sure the dealer will think I'm mad asking should it light up?
