E12 Induction - Air Sensor - Does It Compensate?

Hi peoples,

Im from South Africa, Own a 2007 E12 Corolla (will post pix soon)

I recently purchased a full induciton kit and put it on myself,

(Acoording to previously read info on the site, I diconnected the Battery for more than 30 minutes and then started...)

It still idles badly low to the point of it swithcing off. it is the 1.6 3zz-fe motor,

I drove it in a straight line for a bit mainly in second gear as it still cut the fuel feed badly while I was driving...

My question is, should'nt the ECU be able to compensate for the extra air surge...

or do I have to have the ECU chipped or tuned?

:dontgetit:
