Booking A Service Online

Booked a 40,000 mile service online with Toyota UK at my local dealer. Got confirmation back all was OK and they would pick it up, service it, and deliver it back.

When I saw the car was part of the recall I rang the garage to see if they could do it all on the same day.

The garage had no record of anything. Totally oblivious to any booking. Said it was a new system for HQ, and they had had many such issues. Also no pick up service offered till mid-January.

If you book a service, I suggest doing so locally direct. Toyota UK and the garages seem as distant as ever.

There does seem to be a black hole between the toyota website and the dealer. Best to contact the dealer directly.
