Has anyone had problems with the LED indicator repeaters mounted in the wing mirror housings on my later type Avensis Mk2? Mine sometimes doesn't work on the driver's side. I suspect it is a bad connection in the door space or mirror housing itself as it seems worse during wet weather. Does anyone know how to remove the door card without damaging it or paintwork? also can the mirror plastic housing be removed without removing the door card? Any suggestions gratefully received.

I have the same problem, though no sign yet of it being intermittent - it's just staying off permanently. Maybe retracting the mirrors disturbed a flakey connection. Will be keen to hear if you learn more.
