Near Side Rear Inner Wheel Arch

Hi folks,

Just recently got my T180 back from the local body shop after it had a slight argument with a gate post, Ouch!!

This resulted in a nice scrape down the rear door, it also tore off one of the wheel arch extensions and scraped the rear wing ( if that's what we call it ). When looking up into the wheel arch there is now a sizeable gap around the plastic inner liner whereas when looking in the opposite side arch everything is completely sealed, no gaps etc. Have the body shop failed to complete the job? Can anyone kindly explain.

Thanks Phil

Sounds like something is misaligned under there. A photo would help....................

Here's a few pics dont know if you can make them out, view is up towards the rear of the car. Could it be that during manufacture these gaps are taped over prior to underseal being applied?

I think i might be being just a tad paranoid after having to take it back to the body shop as the wheel arch, sill and mud flap were all covered with overspray!

On looking again is it not just a plastic cover for protecting the fuel inlet pipe from the filler to the tank??

Can anyone confirm that this is the case.........................or not, cheers

Looks about right - just had a look at mine. Nice even gap for mud to get into all along the length
