Hi All,

So decided to ditch run flats and switch to this highly recommended tyre.

But with so many variants, which one is recommended for all year use?

Thanks

Another vote for the G91A. I find them absolutely excellent in the wet, in the dry, on snow and on ice.

The variant with the 101 loading is made especially by Yokohama for the RAV4, so my tyre emporium owning neighbour tells me.

Thanks very much for all the responses.

I wasn't at all sure and was actually looking at the GO51 / G55 (For SUV's) 's and also the G012 (All Terrain)

Any links for best priced UK Suppliers?

if you don't bear the same grudge as me against Bridgestone (due to Runflat debacle....), do not discount their normal tyres.....bloomin' marvellous mileage, all weather grip.....just make sure whoever sells ye them has not just coincidentally got high stocks of the Runflat symbol ones....same bloody tyre ,,,,,,that's me off again........

Big Kev.

Kev, What is the factory fit on the SR as they are 18" not sure if they are the same size as the 180?

Ah thanks fella's. That would explain things then. So it's a straight up fight between these two (which are available in the 18's)

Althought I just found a guy in Germany selling the 91A's

Standard fit is 18" Bridgestone duellers but standard without runflat gubbins. I can tell you that without any doubt, if runflats had been fitted I would definitely not had an SR (not putting up with that crock of ****). The SR comes with tyre slime and a pump. I personally found the Geolanders better than the Duellers for ride, noise and grip. They also last longer so no contest as far as I am concerned. I am currently alternating between winter and summer tyres with low annual mileage so it will be some time (I hope) before I need any. However, I will be seeking Geolanders based on my experience with previous 17" versions - if they are available in 18".

I'm just going by what's written on the black circles!

We all make spelling mistakes but 9/10 people call them "Geolanders"!

Luckily Google automatically searches for "Geolandars" when you type "Geolanders", otherwise we'd all be on Bridgestones.

OCD Dave

Edit; sorry, Bridgefields. Thanks cEV.

Hi Yokohama Geolanders GO51, see below :

Good afternoon Stella.

Many thanks for your enquiry and sorry to hear that buying Yokohama's are such hard work.

Please be re-assured that the only problem we have with this tyre is we have no stock. Demand has exceeded supply recently.

The G051 is a current Yokohama 4x4 tyre.

Best regards,

Mark.

Thanks Stella. I ended up going with the G055 tyre, purely as it's the newer tyre and when reviewing the Yokohama UK pages it compares favorably against the G051 and it's Mud and Snow rated.

I managed to get stock from Black Circles
