Hi guys not been on Corolla forum for a while as hada didifferent model toyota

my wife is looking at buying a diesel corolla would anyone be able to advise me on what to look out for to avoid any wallet killing repairs.

Her second option iS a Tsport is there anything on that to look out for also

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

2.0 D4D E12 used to have some reliability problems due to the particle filters.

1.4 wasn't part of it

D4D Corollas are solid ones,if you look at the german TUF tests its always in the TOP10

Ofc,it has some issues:particle filter-but i dunno of a car that doesnt have that issue,my boss has an Audi A8 4.2 TDI-he changed it already 3 times,and the price is wow

Anyway-a quality fuel will help here

Second one is the dualmass flywheel-pricey stuff ,at least here is something like 1200 euros,usualy,it works for like 100k kms,but i had to replace mine at 65k...+ the crunsh(500e) and the service(300e)...
