Vsc Warning Light On Dash

Hello everyone,

I need some advice please folks; driving home last night the VSC warning light and engine warning light came on, on the dash of my 2009 iQ.

Obviously this is an indication my vehicle stability control and no doubt my ABS isnt working. Saying that, the breaks do feel fine.

I'm worry about how much this may cost to fix and if, with the recall last year, that this may be a hangover from that - if memory serves, that was breaks related.

Any help and advise greatfully received.

Thank

My first thoughts would be to disconnect the Battery for 30mins and re connect. The reason i say 30mins is thats how long it takes for the ECU to forget its settings naturally. There could be a corrupt communication over one of the 3 data buses and dis -connecting forces the ECU to re-build its "map". I would do this first before consulting a garage
