Auris Oil Filter Location

Hello all.

I am new on this forum - tried everything else. Where is the oil filter location? I have looked in haynes manual and at numerous other videos/pictures, but they are not showing my Auris 2.0 Diesel D-4D 56 plate.

I have removed the sump cover fully and emptied oil from sump. I just need to change filter. Do I need to have special tool? I am aware that it is now an aluminum cap and that you can use cap remover, but the only thing I find that resembles the shape/size is the Engine mounting which like the sump nut is 14mm.

If I am lying down under car, with head underneath sump - which direction is the filter?

I hope some one can help!

Thanks

Andy

The filter is located inside a metal casing on the timing chain end and at the front of the engine
