Wing Mirror Cover Removal

Hi all, I need to remove the cover (the coloured bit) on the drivers side wing mirror, I am told it just clips in but I haven't had any joy unclipping it, anybody done this or got any ideas?

It really does just clip on, plastic clips on the cover and the mirror lock in place when you pop it on

Try a flat bladed screwdriver, covered with insulation tape or similar to stop any damage, and just lever gentley. You need to be pulling it away from the door as it sort of slides on / off if that makes sense

This is the cover yes? not the mirror glass. The cover on the drivers side is grey, and I've got some spray paint to re-spray it the correct colour and it would be easier to do it removed if that makes sense?

Yes the cover..........you did say the cover ;)

Yes it would be easier to paint if removed
