jonb70 0
HI AllI have bought my son his first car , a nice little one owner Yaris on an 02 plate. The timing chain is a bit rattly and I would like to change it , I have changed timing chains on other cars and am handy with the spanners. Is there any particular issues with this procedure on this engine ?Thanks
Madasafish 132
You need a big breaker bar for the crank nut.And a locking mechanism for the pulley _ diy .And a jack under the sump.I recommend a Haynes manual and a search of the forum which has lots of prior posts on it.It's hardly rocket science and Haynes is quite good on it.Allow a full 8 hours..
