Help Remote Fob Won't Lock Car And When Pressed Car Makes Beeping

Hi I have a 2001 yaris ts I just went to lock the car and it started beeping but did not lock I can lock manually and unlock using the remote fob built into the key it was working fine yesterday any one have any ideas

I fort maybe the Battery was going but I'm not sure
