emin-j 1
Hi all, the Wife has a 2005 Rav4 xtr auto 54k and recently the car has been making a sort of scraping /rubbing sound when on full left lock when reversing. I checked under the car making sure the wheel was not rubbing any bodywork (it's not),there is no noise on right lock.I thought it could be low on power steering fluid but it was fine, the car runs fine otherwise.Hoping it's not a transmission problem Any idea's ? bothwell_buyer 35
HmmmI think theres been some posts on clunks but a rubbing noise? Dry rubber on driveshaft ?? loose engine mount? Trying to think what else is down there beside the gearbox. Wheel bearing? The nearside hub bearing gets a bit of abuse from hitting drains etc??
