2003 Avensis Speed Pulse Location

Hi guy new here, been searching around but can't seam to find much info in the speed pulse wire location for an 2003 Avensis 2.0 D4D. Is it behind radio like on other cars and if so what colour is the wire.

What are you trying to achieve and do you mean abs speed sensor?

Thanks for the reply Pete, I need the speed pulse location to connect a taxi meter to my car. Yes I have heard it called abs speed sensor. The last car I installed it in was a Vectra and the wire was in the loom connected to the radio, The meter reads the pulses and that's how it measures the distance traveled

Hi how did you get on with this. Could you tell me what colour the wire is and which connector it is on.

remove airbox and pipe.

get a torch, shine it down.

on the gearbox you should see 2 connectors.

1x 3 pin connector (speed sensor)

1x 2 pin connector (reverse light)

on speed sensor cable..

3 wires

1 postive,

1 neg

1 pulse

Its the same coloured wire.. it goes upto the back of the cluster.

I can't remember what colour it is.. its been a while

Maybe its white and violet or blue and yellow.

According to the wiring diagram there is no speed wire behind the radio, but you will find one going into option connector. It`s under the radio and the wire is violet with a white stripe.

I use too fit taxi meters as far as I remember its a brown or orange wire behind the glove box

its definitely behind the glove box
