Rav4.2 Tow Bar

I'm after a detachable or swan style tow bar for an 03 5 door Rav4.

Must be able to remove the ball to make it flush with back of car.

Could you update your profile with the exact model as it depends on tyre width for the Toyota (Brink) one. I'm not sure about other makes.

How does the tyre width affect things?

It's an 03 XT3 2.0 petrol.

A Witter detachable one is £155 new, but I'd prefer something cheaper and second hand as the car is only a workhorse.

Please direct that question at Toyota. To quote from my 2002 brochure " A detachable towbar can be used with all 4x2 vehicles and 4x4 vehicles with 235 tyres. For 4x4 vehicles with 215 tyres a fixed tow bar must be used. Trailer coupling must be removed to open rear door" Only trying to be helpful.

Most likely something to do with type approval and rating for towing..............just saying

Seems strange! Surely the bodywork and physical parts are all the same?
