White In The Oil Filler Lid On My Iq

Hi,

I have just signed up to the club, so hello.

I have just brought a 3 year old IQ2 1.litre 2010 plate with 29 K on the clock which comes from a reputable Toyota main dealer.

Inside the oil fill cap, there is some small amounts of white, both in the lid and also I can see some in the neck of the oil filler pipe. There is none on the dipstick and the car is not loosing water.

I did point this out to the dealer and they said it was nothing to worry about and just due the the age of the car.

Has anybody else had this or should I be concerned and make a bit of an issue back at the dealership?

I eagerly await any replies!

if its only a small amount of white its nothing major. The car has probably been used for short trips. Give it a good long run and it should all be fine
