Looking to change an O2 sensor on my Avensis this week. They seem to be advertised as pre cat and post cat and im not sure which I need. I have a problem with sensor 2 bank 2. I have attached a photo and have highlighted the sensor in question in a red box and the connection for this sensor in a green box.

As always any help is apreciated.

The sensor highlighted is Bank 2 Sensor 2 and is pre cat as it is at the top of the catalytic converter.

I was going to pick up a sensor from Euro car parts today but they seem to have them listed as upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left. Any ideas how to work out which mines is.

As you stand looking into your engine bay:

Bank 1 Sensor 1 is upper passenger side

Bank 1 Sensor 1 is lower passenger side

Bank 2 Sensor 1 is upper drivers side

Bank 2 Sensor 2 is lower drivers side

The sensor you have highlighted is B2S1, B2S2 is lower down post cat.

Ok so Fitter has told me its bank 2 sensor 2 and Devon Aygo has told me its bank 2 sensor 1. I don't know which one to change now. I tried disconnecting the highlighted sensor but then I started getting even more error codes.

There are two connector blocks side by side to the driver's side of the engine whicb the sensors are plugged into. The left one is Bank 2 Sensor 1 the other is Bank 2 Sensor 2.
