05. Wiring For Cooling System.

hi, I have had trouble with cooling fan, on my 05 yaris, the fan has 2 wires, but none of them are earth, the fan will come on , if I wire both wires direct to power and earth, does anyone know the colour of the earth wire? as most of them are black and white, but not on the fan. thanks.. Raymondm.
