Hi all,

I've decided to put my MR2 up for sale. Reason being is it's costing to much to run for me. It's the best car I've owned as yet, so it's a shame I have to sell it.

Here is the spec:

'94 (M) GT-S Turbo (rev 3) Tin-top

Black Cloth interior

Super Red II bodywork (all standard)

76,000 Miles with partial history, all receipts etc in my ownership

Powerflow stainless steel exhaust with twin 4" tailpipes (quiet)

Apex'i Induction kit (only a month old)

Baileys Dump valve

Revision 6 G-valve

Magnecor leads and lower grade spark plugs

GReddy 60mm white faced boost gauge in GReddy A-pillar pod

Blitz Turbo Timer (speaks to you in Japanese if you can understand it!)

Cobra CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser (with installation certificate)

Car has been well maintained by myself (regular oil changes) and runs fine. I've not had one single problem with it since I've owned it (dec 03).

As I said, the reason for sale is because I can't really afford to run it (only being 21!).

The car is for sale for £4500

HOWEVER - my front splitter needs replacing and spraying (previous owners fault!), so I am open to negotiation. I will post up a picture of the bumper later on.

You can contact me at:

I am from Cambridgeshire, near Peterborough.

£4,500 is not a bad price for that car at all, if it's just the front that needs attention, that shouldn't cost much to fix. If it's in good condition, sounds like a steal to me, I'm sure you will attract quite a few buyers.

It might also be a good idea to post a picture showing the damage to the front, so people can assess how hard it will be/how much it will cost to repair.

If your car was about when I bought mine, I would buy yours mate. You should have no probs selling it.

I know what you mean about running costs tho.... expensive.

Yea It will be a shame to see it go but I really need to think sensibly and sort my finances out.

I will post a picture of the front bumper when I get home. It basically needs a new front splitter and a small repair to the bottom of the bumper. Shouldn't be very hard to repair.

That's a shame mate :(

I know exactly what it's like to sell a nice car to get finances sorted. I am still gutted!

A damn good price - it's what I paid for my Rev3 N/A a little more than a year ago. You could have asked for a little more even with the splitter needing doing. But if it needs to go quick then...

What you looking at getting as a replacement?

I'll send you the details on my lunch break Matt, thanks.

Here are a couple pictures of the damage to the splitter:

As you can see, a whole new splitter is needed and a minor repair to the bumper.
