Hmmmm, one of us had been given the wrong colour car! Mine in Eclipse Black looks remarkably similar!

I don't know about you, but the cars look gorgeous when they are freshly cleaned, but as soon as it rains they look filthy again. I've started washing mine art my in law's, thank ***** they're not on a water meter.

It does have a greenie purple hue in the sunlight, along with a sparkle of glitter in the paint.....I'll try to get a picture that shows it better this week sometime. It does like to hide in it's stealth black mode too

First brim to brim fill up today with 440 miles on the clock, and actual consumption to date comes out at 58.8mpg.........a good start

I use a product called Optimum No Rinse on my car, there are other similar products around I believe. It's good if all you want and need to do is wash off a thin layer of dirt/dust off the car. It has the advantage that you wash the car one panel at a time, no rinse (as the product name says) and then you dry with a towel before the water can dry on the panel.

It uses far less water, only one bucket.

What do you think of the quality of the buttons and plastic in the cabin? Is wind noise/ rattle a problem?

Nicolai - it is over 12 hours since you posed your questions about wind noise and rattles on this topic, and you've had no response.

As a gentle reminder, I think members are tiring of the your continual posing of questions without any apparent movement forwards (ie placing an order for an Auris or other car).

Is it really as long as 12 hours ago?

I had a good couple of 2.5 hour runs, including A-road and motorways this week - computer gave me mpg readings of 65 and 64 (so 61 and 60 in reality). This was achieved doing around the 70mph mark both ways.

Have to say I am very happy with that - was expecting consumption to be up on what I've been getting driving locally, but it appears to have been unaffected :D

At last, as promised - a couple of pics to try and show the glitter effect and colour characteristics of the Deep Titanium paint - not sure how well you can tell, but here goes....

I'm not normally a big fan of grey, but that actually looks quite smart

Thanks Paul - it's one of those strange colours that looks different every day, as the light changes. Black, grey, green, purple - it has elements of them all in there!

I almost chose the same colour but my last car was grey and my sons preferred 'Island blue'. It should be ready for collection next week. I know it is only a colour but I think the grey you chose suits the design very well.
