Avensis 2002 Front Suspension Renewal

Hi my 2002 Avensis Vermont has now done 130k miles with no problems. But front suspension is now a bit sloppy and i want to renew. Has anybody done same and what was your experience/advice.

Did you use replacement toyota suspension struts or what is recommended. What type of bushes for example, can you get polybush kits for Avensis?

I'm going to renew front disks and pads and replace system brake fluid whist i am at it. Over the last year there has been an anying hiss inside the cabin from the brake peddle. To cure this i intend to replace servo unit. Is that something that someone has done and was it strait forward.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Doesn't take long to renew front suspension. I did mine in an hour each side on my mk1 you will need spring compress tools though ;)

Discs & pads is easy change too.

I just used eBay for the bits ;)

Thanks for reply. Sounds reasonably straight forward. Did you replace any bushes and what was

the ride like afterwards. Did it tighten up the steering some?

I only did mine as front springs were advisory on mot so replaced both shocks & springs at same time. Was simple 3 nuts at top & 1 bolt at bottom to remove. I can't say it made any difference to the ride as original shocks were ok
