Hi I am new around these parts and this is my Corolla. It is totally standard aside from the TTE spoiler which was added when the car was 3 years old.

So some photos.

I don't really have any plans to upgrade it as I think it is pretty perfect as standard but I thought I would share some photos with you guys.

Looks in really good condition for its age, I had one exactly the same.

Forgotten how high they ride though, but saying that they are more comfortable than the facelift. Wish I could get that colour on my facelift :disgust:

The previous owner really loved the car so it polishes up really nice. But I agree it doesn't look bad for a 200,000KM car and I love the colour too! Do the facelift cars sit lower then? I am completely new to this whole Toyota thing.

Yea the facelift sits 15mm lower and has a front strut brace to help sort out the wobbles (still not perfect), there's quite a few other features that i wanted as well which is why i switched to one. But grats on the purchase, theres a guides section which has some useful tips on keeping it tip top. Might be worth doing the gearbox oil at that mileage if you have chance :)

Thanks do your advice I am doing the box oil in the morning so cheers man! To be honest so far I am very happy with how it goes and how it is in the bends. I am also fitting 4 new Bridgestone Potenzas as I am currently on the winter tyres!

Its a thing of beauty! Identical to mine haha! I prefer pfl as its less obvious that its a complete beast. I also like the facelift but they are two different cars to me. I would recommend Mobil 1 super 3000 5w30 oil. I have tried many oils and did 40k miles in mine and this oil is by far and away the best. Lasts so much longer than others ive tried. Only things ive done to it are hid lights, retrimmed gearknob etc. In alcantara and resprayed the plastic bit. And soon to get a better cd player. Prev. Owner already put sony xplods throughout which was nice. Drove it to the south of france a week after buying it and it was great! Best car ive ever bought.

Sounds like you have a really great car there mate and I also prefer PFL for the exact same reasons as you.

Last month I drove my car home to Preston and then came back a week later, in total I did around 2500km with driving around when I was at home and the car performed faultlessly I absolutely love it!

Here are a couple of photos I took whilst waiting for the ferry home.

Hi again Toyota folks!

Now that I have done all of the routine maintenance on my TS I am thinking I might lower it a bit. Now I don't want anything ridiculous as I have been there and done that with cars such as this.

all I want is something like a 30mm spring set. Now my questions are how long will the standard shocks last with 30mm springs and also what would be the best kit to buy for comfort (I'm getting old!)

I am from near Leyland originally but now live in Germany.

Yesterday I took a ride out to watch some rallying and managed to get a photo of my car with it's older brother.

Also here are some photos of some more cool Toyotas that were there.

I had a lot of fun driving the car through the mountain roads on the way there and it really impressed me how well it grips on the Bridgestones, I think with some sport springs it will be perfect. The only problem I had was after braking hard a few times the brakes began to judder a lot so I think it is new disks and pads time!

Alright Toyota Dudes!

After driving through the mountain roads on the way to the Eifel Rallye I noticed massive brake judder under hard braking so a week later I replaced the discs and pads. Also whilst gawping at an Audi Quattro S2 I belted a kerb so I decided that I should do a 4 wheel alignment (well when the equipment is to hand and all!) and the toe was a little out but so was the camber. Luckily at my work we stock the Toyota camber adjustment bolts so I whacked two of those in and set the camber up perfect. I then embarked on a bit of a journey for my holidays. Here, with the help of Google, is a map.

I did around 2500kms in total and the Corolla did it no trouble I even took it over the famous Millau Viaduct.

I had a bit of a run in with a French chap in a BMW 325Td who fancied trying his luck, I gave it a bit of cherries and he couldn't keep up at all after that I back off and let him past. As he past there was the biggest cloud of white smoke and the strongest smell of BMW approved antifreeze I have ever witnessed. Needless to say he wasn't impressed, BMW reliability hey?!!

So yes I love my TS, I will be giving it an oil change on the weekend and also sticking on a set of steels that will be donned in Bridgestones finest winter tyres ready for the German winter.

Bis Bald

Rob
