Oil For Avensis 4D4 T3-S

hi there,

i am about to change the oil in my 2008 avensis, it has 50k miles and no problems with it.

reason i am here asking is that after looking in forum about the correct oil to use, i get different answers.
i was gone use magnatec 5w 30 fully syn.
can anyone comment on this or share their opinion.

Toyota's official service specification for your 1AD-FTV 2.0 D4D w/out DPF engined Avensis is:

6.3 litres of 5w30 meeting or exceeding the following minimum specifications ACEA B1, Global DLD-1 or API CF-4, CF (You may also use API CE or CD)

Magnetec A1 (ford oil) 5w30 will be perfect for your engine (assuming it hasn't got a dpf)

When will somebody pin a "what oil goes in...."

It has to be the most asked question on the forum and gets answered differently every time

I have posted up a correct grades jpg loads of times

My car is the same as your but 2006 and no DPF. Try here to see your data, entering your VIN:

thx for info, this is really helpfull.

i entered vin and cannot see any dpf, so am assuming that it hasnt got 1, plus the oil recomendation is the same as above.

i am saving these 2 links very usefull
