hi guys, new to Forum and have done quite a bit of searching..... however could not find a definate answer. Can anyone help??

I have an 03 registered Avensis 2.0 D4D with 101k miles, every now and again it fails to
start, I can do a long journey and it will start ok, then another time i
can do a short journey and it wont start!! i can do a 2 mile journey, pull over and then it wont start until i press accelerator pedal when turning the engine over.

any thoughts on this??

On my previous avensis the three things that were the problem when staring, were altenator starter motor an Battery. although it could be electric, just my personal experience mate.
