How To Start The Avensis Manual D4D 2.0 Engine?

just how do you guys who own an avensis D4D 2.0 start the engine? do you press the clutch fully down and then start the engine? is the procedure to start a diesel avensis?

i've just been starting the engine with out pressing the clutch fully down..

please help...

It will make it easier for the engine to turn over if the clutch is down, especially in cold weather! But its really doesn't matter to much either way!...

A good habit to get into. Not only does it take the "drag" load of the gearbox off the starter motor (espcially when the gearbox oil is cold), it also is a wise precaution just in case you had accidentally left the car in gear AND hadn't noticed it was still in gear.
