we are going to look at a few 12 reg, D-4D TR's Diesel's.

I found the sticky about the engines, and wondered if this was across the range, or only happened to a few.

I realise the EGR will need sorting at some time, but what sort of mileage are they going,

we have just had our renault's done, (yes I know, a renault, dont laugh)

also any information on the below from the sticky, we will be getting the remainder of the warranty, but its pointless if it all starts going out of warranty..as they normally do

what is this part, and what is the percentage of cars, (ball park figure)

2.0 D-4D and 2.2 D-4D DMF premature wearing and costs about £1400 to replace

and this part,

2.0 D-4D and 2.2 D-4D SCV fail £200 for parts plug labour

does this include a 12 plate,

2.0 D-4D and 2.2 D-4D upto 2009 head gasket issues

Thanks for any replies, and help.

All of the above effect the pre 2009 model. As far as I've seen, there have been very few problems reported with the current diesel model. Obviously cars can break down, but it seems that the current 2.0 diesel is proving more reliable.

It's also worth pointing out that Toyota did extend the warranty on the previous 2.0 and 2.2 engines to assist those with problems.

Never had one issue with my 2010 Verso 2.0d TR, lovely vehicle to drive and up to 60mpg with careful driving.

Totally recommended

I'm on my third Verso. First was a 2005 1.8 petrol T Spirit, second a 2010 D4D T Spirit and now a 2013 D4D Excel. I've never had any of the engine or mechanical problems reported on this forum. All have been 100% reliable. I would fully recommend a 2012 D4D model. Should last you many miles of trouble free motoring.

On the D4D Tr 12 reg, can you fit roof bars ?
