Hi all,

New member of the toyota owners club here, so please forgive if this in the wrong place.

I have a 1985 2WD hilux and wanting to find a taller ratio diff head as the engine has been replaced with a v6.

My question is will the newer series hilux diff heads ('05 onwards) fit straight into my older diff as thats the only ones I can find with taller ratios (around 3.5:1)

I have a G282 diff coded 4.3 ratio now and need a taller ratio

if your diff is the same as a mk3 and i am prety sure it is, then your looking in the wrong place for diffs, hilux surfs have taller ratios

and usually lsd diffs to, your ratio now it taller than i would expect, your right in your thinking that mk4 are 4.1 as are some aurfs
