Leaking Turbo ?

Hi all

recently upon looking under my Rav for leaks as I do each month I noticed an oil stain on the rear engine mounting.

It is coming from the underside of the large jubilee clip on the turbo and dripping down.

Should it be leaking oil from there ??

It's a brand new turbo fitted in last few months by local Toyota dealership.

yes photo would help both from an upper side and from underneath -- be focused also on other possible sources -- may be some oil connections have been released ???

I tried taking a photo but kept getting reflections off other surfaces , I can see a large oily drip off that large jubilee clip .

It is definatly a drip that shouldnt be there though , I just coulnt understand how I could have a bad oil stain on that rear engine mounting , then I saw where it was dripping from....

are you still sure the drip inquestion is definitely from turbo oil joints ?

have you faced an issue with acceleration ? in other words - whether your turbocharged is in good order boosting an air ?

if not -- you might to have an issue with an internal oil seal (bearing bushes + rotor radial play etc). but a good photo must judge us

Hi All

Turns out it was just excess oil from installation of the new turbo recently ?

I will however keep an eye on it for a while .........just in case !
