Wagon Split Seat Button Replacement

Hello - my first post!

I've got a bit of an issue that I can't work out. I have a 2004 T25 Avensis Wagon and I can only fold down 60% of the back seat (it's technically a 60/40 split isn't it?). The left hand side has no release button. I thought that would be easy to pull apart and replace the lock assembly. The problem I've found is step 9 and 10:

9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD CARPET ASSY

RH
(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY RH
(a) Remove the bolt and floor anchor for the seat belt outer
center.
(b ) Remove the 2 bolts and seatback assy

Those steps seem to all assume that I can fold the seat forward to access the clips and bolts.

Is there a magical hidden release so I can fold the seat forward or another way around this?

.
