Door Protectors, Will They Affect The Paint?

Just wanted to share this with you. I have bought some door protectors from Halfords, and I was wondering if they will affect the paint if I choose to remove them in the future.

Haven't used this sort of door protectors in years ......

What I used to find was that the front edges of the door protectors used to collect dirt where they fitted onto the doors. In time, with taking the protectors off to clean them when washing the car, sometimes small scratches appeared where they slide onto the door.

Do you garage the Verso? If so cheap rubber mats or carpet mats stuck to the inside walls of the garage where the car doors open against, can provide good protection for your car's paintwork.
