Tte Lowering Kit For Celica 140/190 T Sport (uk)

Hi

I work at a main Toyota dealer and own a Yaris T Sport.

I have a set of brand new TTE lowering springs for a Celica 140/190 T Sport (UK model only) for sale. It lowers the car by 30mm. The part number is TPZ439-10721-00.

This kit was ordered by a customer for his Celica, but on inspection of the car was found to be an import with superstrut suspension, so this kit was not compatible and no longer required.

I am looking for £110 plus VAT for the kit (it is still new in its box), there is not a huge mark up on the cost price, we just need to sell the kit!

Hi,

Can you tell me what these normally retail for? As you need to get rid of them I take it there is a drop in the price?

Thanks

This kit normally retails at £125 plus VAT. The only reason we are selling it is because we don't have a customer to buy it now!

Still as new in its box complete with fitting instructions. Only ordered in on 28th April!

Hope this helps.

Hi Ross (Bill Allen)

Yes Paul, they are.

We are trying to sell them because they are special order parts and cannot be sent back to Toyota, so we thought we'd open up a few more contacts and advertise on TOC.

Kind Regards

Roz

Sorry Ross,

I couldn't resist the wind up!

I actually thought so at the time and still do that it was very good of yourselves not to charge me for anything be it the springs of any labour in disassembly.

I assumed you may have problems reusing parts as a specialised item, if I'd have bought from any other supplier I'd of been stuck with parts; therefore thanks again.

Incidentally I emailed TTE for their opinion on compatibility and they replied thus:

thank you for your inquiry.

We have no special lowering springs for Japan Domestic Market version.

There was no problem to fit our lowering springs in the old Celica T20 or Carina GTI. Both models had super strut suspension too.

We suppose that it will possible also in the Celica T23. Please try again.

Needless to say I don't really believe their interpretation, a bit worrying though if thats their technical opinion!

Do you remember if it was the front suspension only or both ends which are different to std model as there seems to be confusion over this matter?

I'm currently trying to source some springs direct from Japan via my membership of the Celica-Club.co.uk; link FYI Celica Club UK

Now this may be somewhat presumptuous but if I were to source correct spec springs from Japan would your lot be willing to fit them as I certainly don't think it a DIY job, I presume not as they won't be Toyota parts but if you don't ask?

Thanks again,

Cheers, Paul.

Paul

I'm afraid the front & rear suspension of your car is not compatible at all with those springs :(

If you can obtain another kit, we will have another go at fitting them for you. :)

Regards

Roz

PS I'm not Ross, I'm his colleague!!! :o

Sorry if my description was not clear enough, basically all current model UK Celicas can have these springs fitted, including the T Sport.

Hope this clarifies any queries.

Apex from Camskill if money is tight

TTE's from Toyota if you don't want progressive springs

Eibach Pro Kit if you do want progressive

I have TTE's on mine as they are manufactured by Eibach, and were fitted as OE on the GT. Some insurers may look a little more kindly on a genuine Toyota part being fitted than the two others.

HTH

Must say.."Holy thread resurrection, Batman!"
