Woes Of My Rav4 D4d Gx

:help:

My gold Rav4 turned to orange then lime and now nudging lemon.

Five thousand miles and the parking brake stuck.

Nine thousand miles and fan belt squealing.

Fraction later and the alternator tensioner had to be changed.

Service done now and the oil totally discoloured in less than two thousand miles.

(should have marked the oil filter).

Changed oil and filter myself at 15000 miles. Who can you trust?

After Intermediate service loud screeching noise from clutch area.

After two visits clutch assy changed.

Noise still there.

Another two visits and flywheel replaced----hurray problem solved but more to come.

Resonance at between 1600-1800 revs rhroughthr gears.

Gear lever rattling when in 5th gear and crusing between 60 and 80 mph.

Car currently with another dealer right now.

Will this be my last visit ? If not I may seriously consider going back to Ford.

Who can enlighten me how come the RAV4 tops the JD survey two years in a row???

I've got the 2.0 XT3 for half a year now and there's nothing much wrong with it!

If you had it from new, im sure you can complain about it and see what happens cause this is not what you should expect

Anyway, keep us posted on this and see how things are

Kenny!
