Charging Phone In Car When Car Is Turned Off?!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm off to Bestival on the Isle of Wight next Thursday for 5 days. I have a car phone charger and am planning on taking my smartphone so I can take pictures & videos, I'm not concerned about losing it.

My question is, is there any way at all to charge my phone when the car is off and the keys are out of the ignition? I'd like to be able to leave it for a few hours, lock the car & come back when it's charged. At the moment, I think the only way it'll charge is if the keys are in and turned one click. I'm guessing there's no way to bypass this or a workaround?

If not looks like I'll just have to have a nap in my car when I'm hungover :D

Thanks (:

this is what you need

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Battery-Terminal-Clip-on-Cigarette-Power-Lighter-Socket-Adaptor-Cable-12v-UK-/321036466546?pt=UK_Car_Exterior_Accessories&hash=item4abf43b972

the only thing i would change is to remove the clips and replace them with ring connectors to go onto the Battery, if not the clips may short out on the bonnet, once fitted you could then turn your mobile off over night and have it connected to charge up whilst your sleeping.
