Pressure

Hi people. I have just fitted a k and n air filter to my 2.0 diesel (I love the sound of the turbo spinning up) but I have noticed on my boost gauge that the turbo is generating less pressure but have not noticed any performance difference relating to less pressure. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what this could be (the boost gauge is a cheap one, so could be that)

I'm surprised you noticed any difference. Just wondering if your K&N was a little over-oiled ? That would certainly cause the inlet to suck harder to breathe at the same rate as before.

I drove it earlier and the pressure was back to normal (I have a boost gauge) when I first installed it the pressure peaked about 14 psi, now it's back 20 at full throttle. Was a bit strange :P

Cool, I looked at the k&n website and I can only find panel filters for my 2.2 sr180

I don't think they do cone filters for the diesels. This was taken from his old proton. The biggest problem was making a hole for the MAF sensor.
