Hi to all,

I have worked for a lot years in the motor trade so I am on stranger to replacing timing belts, but I am told that the Rav4 Diesel belt job is none to steight forward, can anyone shed some light on what make this job so difficult, I thought Renault timing belt could be a bit of a pain but managed to do them with ease.

Hi Doug,

have a look at:

This is an instruction specific to the engine that you have. If you do your own servicing it might be worth your while looking at the list of Technical Tips at the top of the forum index page. HTH

Hi Cris,

Yes this looks like a job I can manage, not much space but that is about normal quite used to that, heard a lot of horror stories about this job on the Rav4 but thanks to your information and downloads I can now get on with the job.

Thank you for your help.

Doug.
