My Rr Results

Hiya,

I took my rev3 turbo on the rollers this weekend. Was running 1.0 bar peak but drops to 0.9 at high revs, came out with 204bhp at the wheels. Harvey Gibbs estimated that to be 248bhp at the fly! Not too bad considering I only ran it at standard boost (forgot to turn it up to 1.2 bar  ) and he only had one cooling fan (which was on the intercooler).

Is that flywheel estimate about right?

Cheers

Matt

what mods you got ? Seems a little low compared with PizzaBoys stock rev3 setup.

Maybe his estimation was a little low ?... dunno.

Yea I had the boost too low really. The T-VSV is disabled so when it was at 0.9 BAR on full load, that's lower than the stock 15 psi, oops.

I may well take it up there again soon and run it on 17psi.

Other factors were that there was only one cooling fan - one on my intercooler, and I only had regular 97ron super in it.

Next time I will put Optimax and an octane booster in and run 1.2 bar...

Stock psi is 13 which is 0.9 Bar so it was running at correct factory boost level. Remember readouts can vary between tubbies depending on condition/milage and different RR centres will give different readouts. 204@wheels is still a good result. Did you get the torque readout by any chance Matt?

No I didn't unfortunately. He's in the process of getting new machines so there was limited info, and he prefers to set cars up with a laptop and a drive down the road!

Hopefully if I haven't sold it I will go for another run and use proper fuel and run 1.2 bar, should run 270 @ the fly hopefully.
