Hi any help on choosing brakes for my Toyota corolla? Its a 2004 1.4 t3 model. Will t-sport brakes fit directly on it? is it same chassis?

also looking at lowering springs, poly bushes and drop links. any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I have looked around and keep looking on eBay.

thanks

Don't think those discs will fit your current setup as they are larger than your current size, the 2.0 D4D and T Sport brakes are interchangeable as the D4D needs the extra stopping power for the weight it bears.

Your pads will be offset, that's even if your able to fit the caliper back on and bolt it up. Not great on lowering springs but I'd imagine there wouldn't be a difference in that aspect.

So best bet is new calipers, and discs? OEM ones.... Heard toyota brake pads are meant to be really good and last a while. The brakes are just rusty, puny and look awful behind my new wheels.

Hi,

Even with standard brake parts you have to be careful ordering them as a couple of different sized discs /pads have been used.

The standard caliper is always going to look puny compared to those you see on real sports cars which are about half the diameter of the discs !

No idea about fitting Tsport discs and calipers, though you could try the tuning / race fittings companies and see what they offer.

( don't forget to check your insurance as any modification, even if apparently to improve safety, could invalidate it)

Simple way would be to fit some drilled discs intended for the bog standard 1.4 , paint your calipers with some Hammerite and fit some coloured stainless brake hoses.

Could add some waterprooof coloured leds around the wheel arch to highlight them.

( even painted you will be cleaning the calipers regularly as they soon get coated in muck and brake dust)
