Hi guys,

I need a bit of help. Up until Wednesday this week my iq2 had perfect alloys then my off side front met with a high kerb. Doooh!!!

Does anyone know of the paint code or the best possible match? I phoned my local dealer but they couldn't really help.

The colour is a smoky silver if that helps??

Many thanks in advance

Chris

Have a peak through the yellow pages or do a search on the internet for alloy wheel refurbishment or scratch and dent repairers.
There are many places now that do full refurbs on corroded wheels or companies that have a van, come to you and simply rub down the damage and re-spray.

I'm guessing you have the shiny, almost chrome effect 15" wheels? If you do these won't be easy to touch in with a brush without it showing but a professional wheel company should be able to do it reasonably cheaply.

Someone like this perhaps depending where you are....

I've been quoted £55 each wheel for a full acid strip, blast, repair, powdercoat and clear coat in standard silver colour on my 17" OZ-Racing wheels. That could be plus VAT though, not sure.

If you have only scratched your wheel though there are places that do a smart repair blending in the damage and re-spraying. It's just finding someone to do it. :)

Hi guys. Many thanks for getting back to me. I got a quite yesterday from a wheel specialist. They would strip the whole thing and re paint etc for £84 inc. vat.

My only concern is because they are only doing the one they can't guarantee the clout match.

I've seen smart repairs before Craig and the ones I did see where far from great. :(

Thanks again.

Cheaper to get a replacement with a good tyre attached and use the damaged alloy as spare. I got some of these off eBay and worked out at £70 for perfect alloys with brand new original Bridgestones. Abs bargain. And if someone will not separate and will only sell a set of 4 for say £250, keep what you want and sell the rest. I saw it as a no-brainer
