Disabling Radio Traffic Announcements On Iq3

I just bought a 2009 IQ3 with sat nav and can't work out how to disable the annoying traffic announcements that come in over the radio. The manual says to hold the PWR ON button until you hear a 'beep' noise and this will open the menu required. However all this does is power on the radio and gives FM/MW radio station choices and bluetooth option. Any help greatly appreciated thanks!

Hi David no I mean the traffic announcements (TA) that cut in whilst listening to the radio.

There isn't a TA button on the multimedia screen though :-/ and I can't access the menu options to get to it

Press and hold MODE until you hear a beep.

MENU appears on the display

Press MODE several times until SET is displayed.

Have tried this, see my original post. Menu doesn't access only radio channel selection.

In your original post you said you were pressing PWR, you need to press MODE ??? or have I understood you incorrectly?

I think they're a rubbish system. I tell you what, I'll remove the pain by taking it off your hands for 50 quid ;-)

<Visual Heaven of course see through the lie and proceeds to ignore post>

I agree it's rubbish but it's gotta be better than a large gap in the dashboard ;-)
