I Need a new Rear Bumper..

I backed around a corner in a unlit lane and hit a low post.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend where I can get a new one?

I don't know if I can use the sensors that are in the old one?

Any help would be appreciated on where to get one and are they easy to fit myself?

I would get along to your local bumper repair specialist for an opinion/quote for repair before going down the replacement bumper route.

There are a couple on e-bay.

I take mine to my local body shop and they use a heat gun, and maybe filler, and respray. Cheaper than a new bumper that then has to be fitted and sprayed (but maybe not as perfect a repair). These low posts are a real nuisance because you just can't see them. I wish I had a reversing camera!

I use Chipsaway for such small jobs, they are far cheaper than body shops (due to less overheads and they come to you). They are Nationwide and will give you a no obligation quote.

That is not my experience - perhaps I am just lucky knowing a body shop locally that does a good job for a sensible price?

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I will give a bumper repair man a call and go from there.

Cheers everyone, MC and HY

That is 100% an easy repair with application of heat to pop out the main part and then some trimming & filling where the support has pushed the bumper through.

Agree, mine had similar damage last year, cost £140 for the repair at a local bodyshop and looks perfect again, did have to get a new replacement rear fog light that also broke though from Kingo.
