Thanks everyone I've had my avensis for 6 years and in the last year or so it's being problem after problem and a very expensive time toyota parts are not cheap I've just spent 214 for clutch master cylinder as I had squeaking and a stuck clutch pedal it has cured the stuck clutch pedal and the grease stopped the squeaking but it has returned any ideas how to fix this

Where is it sticking? At the top of the pedal travel? The bottom? The whole way?

The squeak is most likely where the pedal pivots up under the dash.

You should be able to find it just by wriggling up under there and working the pedal with your hand.

Any decent lightweight oil will probably quiet it down. This might also be the source of the sticking.

I got the master clutch cyclinder replaced and that cured the pedal from sticking as I was having to bring the clutch pedal back up with my foot but I cannot get rid of the squeaking my mate who works on the car has greased all around the pedal and the noise goes for a day then comes back
