After Market Bluetooth Car Kit

Hi all

Just bought the wife a 56 plate Rav XT4. Great condition, very pleased at the moment. One issue though is I want to fit a bluetooth car kit. Thinking about a Bury CC9068, it is unclear ( reading various websites) if I can get the phone and music routed through the car Speakers. It is certainly possible with the Bury kit, not sure about the compatibility of the Rav though. Anyone have a definitive answer?

The hands-free car kit in the vehicle is connected to the car radio with the ISO cable harness.

Have a look at their PDF instructions... :)

Pretty sure Toyotas don't use ISO standard connectors. TOY-ISO are available from car audio shops and on eBay for MUCH less then then dealers (in just the same way that you can be HDMI cables for TVs at a 20th of the cost of a brand-name official one)

A quick look at eBay gives a pair of cables - TOY-ISO and ISO-TOY - for total of £6.69 with free postage ;)

Thanks for the replys, not sure I am any better off now. I have looked at the manual for the Bury kit and it does show that the kit connects through the ISO connectors. I am not sure that the Rav has these connectors, as mentioned by Hoovie.

Best to get along to an ICE specialist store and get some face to face advice

Hi - I have a Parrot MKi9200 Car Kit fitted. Cracking piece of kit and allows phone and music to be routed through car Speakers as you require. Also has facility to play music from an iPhone or ipod as well as a USB memory stick or an SD card. Loads of other features such as voice activated dialing - access to phone contact list plus lots more. Not sure how difficult installation is as it was in car when I bought it. Can vouch though for its effectiveness.

cheers

Steve
