2 Corolla Issues

Hi Guys

I have 2002 model corolla 1.6 tspirit. The drivers side window only goes down now and again. When it is down it comes back up no problem. Previous you would have to press the button around 10 times with a bit of pressure to get it down. Now it comes down very rarely. Any ideas?

Secondly I have lost the cap that covers the back of the headlight. It is the one you remove 1st when you do a bulb change. Any idea were I can get a replacement from?

Thanks

Try using some silicone spray lubricant (not WD40) in the window channels of the door - which should lubricate where the window slides up/down. See http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_214714_langId_-1_categoryId_255223

or http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/277-6425587-5629714?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=silicone%20spary%20lubricant

Can you hear the electric motor when you press the window switch?

As regards the rubber cap for the headlight, try sending Parts King (see Sponsors Corner on The Community page) a personal message, giving details of your car and what you want - he should be able to provide a price.

If the switch isn't activating the motor then you likely have a faulty switch. Go to a breakers yard and take on off another E12 Corolla, I bet they're all the same.
