Boot Lock Not Turning Light Off & Sensor Thinks Unlocked

Hi Yaris owners!

Desperate for some help. Noticed whilst driving today that my 'door open' sensor on my Yaris was on. I pulled over, open and shut all the doors & boot but it still remained stubbonly on. Then realised I cannot lock the car with it on - big problem. Pushed all the door sensors which were all fine, then looked at the boot and noticed when I closed the boot the interior boot light stays on. I had a good fiddle with the lock mechanism, which from reading other posts I gather the sensor is in built into it, but to know avail. Can anyone else help?!

PS I am a woman so non-technical language would be appreciated!!
